W. Kent Hamilton is Assistant Dean and Executive Director of the McCoy College of Business Foundation. Kent received his B.A. from Texas Tech University in 1987, summa cum laude, and his M.S. from Texas A & M Commerce in 2014. He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. With over 20 years’ experience of fundraising in healthcare and higher education, Kent has assisted donors to achieve their philanthropic goals raising in excess of $100 million in gifts and commitments. In addition to his professional experience at University Medical Center Lubbock, Texas Tech University, Texas State University, UT Health San Antonio, and McCoy College Foundation, Kent has served on the boards of non-profits and community organizations. He has presented seminars and made presentations at professional conferences in the areas of legacy and estate giving as well as endowment management and compliance. Kent and his wife Andrea owned their own business for eight years that focused on Christmas collectibles. Their client list included Southwest Airlines, Seaworld, the Dave Thomas family, Nordstrom, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Merlin Olson to name a few.
